Her inspired, mixed-media constructions have appeared in solo and group exhibitions and installations throughout the world. Her original artwork hangs prominently in the U.S. Embassy in Suriname and in the personal collection of U.S. Ambassador to Latvia Nancy Pettit.

Time after time, Margery Amdur [MFA ’82] has proven that there are literally no physical, cultural, or psychological boundaries to one’s ability to engage others through art.And she has served as both an instructor and mentor to countless students, offering insight into her intuitive, meticulous, and methodical approach to the artistic process.

True to form, this April, the professor of art at Rutgers University–Camden will serve as a visiting resident artist at the University of Latvia, where she will lead a weeklong student workshop titled “Making Meaning.”
