Madison artist Chele Isaac is curious how people will react when they step inside the high walled, circular theater she has erected at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art for viewing her new film “the understory.”
With seven projectors showing both static and interactive imagery—from eruptions of birds, trapped insects, snow forts in the woods, to men in theatrical makeup and wigs—viewers are enveloped by scenes that compete for attention.
