Inspiration drawn from the artists’ own faith and community fueled the creation of the artwork in “Uniquely and Wonderfully Made” on exhibit at River Arts on Water Gallery, 590 Water St., Prairie du Sac. Artists Rhonda Nass and Karen Timm show individual works along with premiering a mixed media piece they collaborated on.

“Set Free … Transcendence,” their mixed media collaborative artwork, is based on Charles Wesley’s song “And Can It Be?” Nass used graphite to draw chains on her portion, and Timm finished the piece using nylon organza fabric to illustrate their interpretation of the verses “My chains fell off, my heart was free; I rose, went forth and followed Thee. Amazing love! How can it be, That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me!”
