Art 448-007: Glass / Introduction to Lampworking (Flameworking)
May 15 – June 11, 9:00-5:00 M/T/W

Three-Four Credits
This is a super-fun four-week course with no pre-requisites. Non UW-Madison students may enroll through University Special Student Status. Direct any inquiries to helen.lee@wisc.edu.

The summer glass class will focus on a flameworking technique called “networking.” Working with a torch, students will effectively learn to draw in 3D with glass. Translucent glass rods will be transformed from linear to infinitely scalable spatial forms. Our final project will focus on activating site-specific spaces with this technique. No prerequisites are required for this class; open to all students! Come get your flame on!
