Twenty-five films in main com from Russia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and the USA participated this year in the international competition of short films at the Days of German and Russian short films “Vkrate!” 2017 film festival.

The international jury of the competition included: 
Andrey Silvestrov (Moscow), film director, producer, President of the International Kansk video festival, artistic director of the First Volgograd video campus (chairman of the jury);
Florian Grolig (Berlin), animator, game designer; he graduated from the School of Arts and Design in Kassel, realized some award winning short films and computer games as well as commissioned animation and co-founded the Black Pants Game Studio ;
Vlady Bystrov (Braunschweig), a German musician-multi-instrumentalist and composer of Russian origin, an improviser, art director of the festival of electro-acoustic music and medial art “New Night” and the festival “Three days of new music”, PhD of Artistic Research;
Anton Valkovsky (Volgograd), PhD of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Institute of Art Education of the Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University, manager of social and cultural projects, author of the project “The Decade of Public Art”, an independent curator.
