This Spring’s Advanced Painting Workshop participants have been hard at work on a diverse portfolio of everything and anything from meticulous landscapes to surreal portraits to new takes on abstraction. Each painter in the show has created many works and selected those to display for all to see. On that topic, they are eager to extend the invite for anyone interested in stopping by to see their work, from April 21st through the 25th at Gallery 7, located on the 7th floor of the George L. Mosse Humanities Building. If you want to see their work and enjoy refreshments while meeting the artists themselves, stop by for the show’s reception on April 22nd from 6:30 to 9:30pm!

You can expect to see a range of works that, while distinct from one another, share a dream-like quality. The show’s name Dream Logic reflects the ways the works of the emerging painters of UW–Madison’s undergraduate program feature the surreal, the nightmarish, and the euphoric.
