Mad Metals is an organization dedicated to connecting artistic students to the professional field of metalsmithing. Events organized by Mad Metals include but are not limited to: local and national networking trips, trips to attend national metal arts conferences, educational workshops, guest lecturers, informal peer-peer critiques, metals professional practices, and art and jewelry sales. Mad Metals provides members a forum to discuss current directions in metal arts and the traditions behind this art form, share scholarships, internships, job opportunities, and collaborate/inspire one another while learning new technical skills.
