We are looking to hire three Front Desk Student Office Assistants to join our administrative team with potential for continuation through the academic year and summer. This position will staff the Art Office front desk located on the 6th floor of the George L. Mosse Humanities Building. Applicants must present a positive attitude in all interactions and communicate effectively with prospective students and families, alumni, faculty, staff, and the general public. This position will offer students the chance to become part of a friendly and welcoming and creative team. Students will gain professional administrative experience in the arts while becoming acquainted with the Art Department and its faculty, staff, and students.
The front desk will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include, but is not limited to responding promptly and professionally to emails, assisting the outreach coordinator with tours, events, and developing outreach materials, distributing packages and mail, moving furniture and helping students navigate the building, restocking supplies and monitoring inventory, answering phones and directing inquiries when appropriate, cleaning and organizing, facilitating the check-out and check-in of department technology and audiovisual equipment, copying and scanning, updating spreadsheets and documents, and general office support.
