Doctorate in Art Education, Indiana University, 1995. Recipient, 1993 Getty Center for Education in the Arts Doctoral Fellowship. Research interests are in the area of educational renewal and school reform. Teaching focuses on historical, multiethnic and feminist contexts for art and art education as well as art curriculum development and classroom practice at the elementary level. Published in Studies in Art Education; Journal of Multicultural and Cross-cultural Research in Art Education, and Art Education; serves on review board for Journal of Multicultural and Cross-cultural Research in Art Education; presenter at state, national, and international conferences.
